How it works

Four rules. All on-chain.

No hidden ledger, no fine print that changes overnight. The rules of the club are written in public smart contracts.

Hold 1 STATUS

Any wallet holding at least one STATUS is a Status VIP. That is the whole entry rule.

Earn hourly

Every holder, VIP or not, earns Status Points each hour, in proportion to the STATUS they hold.

Redeem

Redeem points for gift cards, mobile top-ups, eSIM data, travel credit or donations once the catalog opens, which happens only when reserve coverage is met.

Dues fund rewards

Annual membership dues of 0.1 STATUS per year, drawn only from a VIP’s first coin, flow to a public on-chain Treasury that funds the rewards reserve.

How the catalog opens

Launch: free member perks and badges. Then gift cards, top-ups, eSIM data, subscriptions, donations and travel credit open tier by tier, only while the reserve holds at least 150% of all outstanding points. Reserve, outstanding points and coverage are reported publicly every month.

Status Points

Every holder earns points.

Status Points accrue every hour to every STATUS holder, in proportion to balance. Points are a separate on-chain token you can see in your wallet.

  • Hourly accrual — automatic, no staking required.
  • Proportional — hold more STATUS, earn more points.
  • Redeemable — for rewards once the catalog opens and reserve coverage is met. Small balances earn points slowly, so paid tiers may take a long time to reach.
  • No cash value — points are redeemable for rewards; they have no cash value.

    Rewards funding

    Where rewards funding comes from.

    • VIP dues: VIP wallets (1+ STATUS) pay dues of 0.1 STATUS a year.
    • Gradual treasury sales: the treasury sells dues coins gradually, at most 2 a day.
    • 60% to points: 60% of what the treasury receives funds the points pool, 25% builds the reserve buffer kept in the Treasury, and 15% goes to operations.
    • Grows with membership: funding depends on how many members pay dues and on what the treasury receives when it sells them, so it grows as more people become VIP members.
    • In plain words: Points funding = VIP members × 0.1 STATUS dues × what the treasury receives per STATUS when it sells × 60%. More members or stronger sales both grow the pool.
    • A firm minimum: dues switch on at a launch milestone set in the protocol; until then, the 0.57 minimum applies. The rate never drops below 0.57 points per STATUS per hour.

    Fixed supply

    Only 10,000 STATUS will ever exist. There is no general mint function.

    Locked liquidity

    90% of supply seeds a public liquidity pool on Base, held in a lock contract that cannot withdraw it.

    Slow creator vesting

    The 10% creator allocation sits in an on-chain vesting contract, released slowly with a daily cap, to public addresses.

    What is Status?

    How do I become a VIP?

    Hold at least 1 STATUS in a wallet. Because dues draw gradually from your first coin, we recommend holding a small buffer above 1.

    Do I need to be a VIP to earn points?

    No. Every holder earns Status Points hourly, in proportion to balance.

    Do points have cash value?

    No. Status Points have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash. Rewards depend on reserve availability and may change, pause, or end.

    What are the annual dues?

    0.1 STATUS per year, drawn only from a VIP wallet’s first coin, and only once activated under the rules published in the contract. Dues go to the on-chain Treasury to fund the rewards reserve.

    When can I redeem points?

    Free member perks start at launch. Paid tiers open only when the public reserve meets the coverage rule. At launch the reserve is close to zero, so expect paid tiers to open later. Points earned before then stay locked until the reserve covers them.
